FAQ

What is BetaCoders?

BetaCoders is a coding academy for children ages 8-17. We provide an excellent coding and robotics curriculum, tools, and mentorship for a quality educational experience. Students learn how to code while building robots and games in fun, creative, and safe learning environment. Our highly talented educators have an average of 15+ years of experience in computer science and robotics.

How is BetaCoders different?

BetaCoders is much different from a typical coding academy. Kids don’t like lectures, and going to another school after school can sound dull. Instead, our students learn coding through play. We give them real projects to tackle, such as building games and robots while learning coding principles and techniques.

Are these courses too hard for younger students?

Our courses are designed for children as young as 8. No experience is required to be enrolled in BetaCoders. We accommodate all types of students and experience levels.

How many sessions per week can we have?

As many as you like! We have flexible programs to accommodate the needs of almost every family. A typical program consists of 2 hours a week for a total of 8 hours a month.

Why should my kids learn how to code?

Learning to code helps increase perseverance, improves memory, teaches patience and confidence, nurtures creativity, and helps kids think! It helps enhance their capacity to reason, solve problems thoughtfully, and make effective decisions from a very early age. Coding helps sharpen the analytical and cognitive skills of kids.

Do we need to bring our computer?

No, BetaCoders provides computers for students during the sessions.

My kid missed a class, how can we make it up?

You are allotted one make-up session per billing cycle. You must let us know 24 hours in advance about an absence (exceptions may be made for illnesses or emergencies). Make-up classes are a 60-minute session with your instructor and up to 2 other students.

What is BetaCoders curriculum?
